Primary Purpose:

Coordinates information, gathers data, and develops responses related to regulatory data requests for the Wildfire Mitigation effort. Schedules and coordinates regular review of policies and procedures surrounding the Wildfire Mitigation Plan. Schedules and confirms all ESCMP requirements for the department. Coordinates the review of the Business Resumption Plan for the department. Serves as a responder when the EOC is activated.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedules timely review and completion of regulatory data responses for the Wildfire Mitigation & Vegetation Management Department. Documents and tracks all Wildfire Mitigation department communications and presentations that are provided to internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Schedules and coordinates regular review of policies and procedures around the collection and validation of data developed under the Wildfire Mitigation Plan to ensure that the policies are up to date and ready for internal and external auditing.
  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of the Business Resumption Plan for the department by ensuring that all areas are defined in the plan, table-top exercises are performed, and debriefing needs are addressed.
  • Identifies, schedules, tracks and confirms all ESCMP requirements for the department ensuring annual compliance to all requirements.
  • Provides scheduling and coordination of calendars for the Department Director and support requests across the department as a whole.
  • Serves as a responder when EOC activations occur, providing documentation during the activation of events, recording process events as they arise and providing strategic insight when appropriate along with participating in after action review for each event. Participates as an active member of the EOC when activations occur providing documentation during events and participating in after action review and corrective actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED.
  • 4 years – Project coordination, environmental or related work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills required.
  • Must have problem solving and technical computer skills to resolve day-to-day logistical issues.
  • Must be detail oriented.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field of study such as business, project management, environmental, or engineering.
  • Understanding of utility dynamics surrounding the field of wildfire.
